D'ye wanna make tea at the BBC?

News of a vacancy at BBC 1 Xtra

Sideman (David Whitely) resigns with immediate effect after word repeated verbatim to camera by broadcaster.

(Had been passed by editorial board, and agreed and approved by family of victim.)

Can't say I agree with decision to broadcast, and support Mr Whitely in this

As someone pointed out on Twitter, they wouldn't have done this with the c or f words, so why - even with agreement - do it with this one?

      Quite.

They could have left it at grossly offensive racist language.

So why are the editorial board who cleared this still in jobs?

Did the broadcaster write her own copy, or just read out the agreed script?

That's particularly relevant because the attackers in this incident actually used the words "fucking n-word", and it's the first one of those two that the BBC decided to censure.
