    OK, so it's never going to be The World At War, but for those of us of an "ahem" certain generation, it's pure, unadulterated nostalgia.

      Both Firefox and Chrome don't load RTE Player for me. Jobs for the boys must be a thing at the RTE IT department as well.

        That's just the RTE Player for you, though the Android version has improved notably in recent months.

          Ooh, this is right up my alley. My father was in Ireland during the summer of 1990 and brought back a ton of stuff, and my nana brought me back an Ireland shirt in the early 90s that I might still have somewhere at my mom's house. Jack Charlton's Ireland (1, Italy 0) is in the mix of formative experiences that made me a football fan.

            One thing I thought watching it last night was how innocuous the famous Eamonn Dunphy "meltdown " after the Egypt game actually was, considering it made Dunphy's punditry career . Even Mick McCarthy said Dunphy was right, we were rubbish.
