    3D is shit, but...

Okay, so I think the idea of 3D in general is just a shit money spinner for the big studios.

However... one area where I think it could be used to massive effect is certain graphic novels brought to the screen in almost literal fashion, i.e. kept as 'graphic novels', rather than made into 'live action' films.

And the graphic novel that made me think this (reminded about it tonight)?

    Mister X.

Can you imagine Mister X in 3D? Wow! What a spectacle that would be!

Don't know the book, what's it about?

Being Dark Horse I'm assuming it's not a costumed superhero story.

I've seen a couple of the zoetrope-y "live action comics" but didn't find them hugely satisfactory.

Top 10 Wishlist For Movies/Premium Cable Miniseries adaptations (3D or otherwise):

Fables (ABC owns rights but will screw it up)
    Y: The Last Man
    Strangers In Paradise
    The Sandman Saga
    Preacher
    Tom Strong
    The Walking Dead (Being done)
    Berlin
Top 10 (would cost a fortune)
    Any Judge Dredd 'mega-epic'
Portrait Of A Mutant (Johnny Alpha origin)
    D.R & Quinch

I'm convinced there's a good series to made yet from the Punisher even after 3 shit movies.

The whole 3D "phenomenon" does seem to be a nit of a scam. Do we really need an 'updated' 3D-pimped Titanic?

(Now 'The Abyss' in 3D is a whole different story!)

That could work if Ultravox did the soundtrack, with "Mr X" on a loop.
