    'Iran (Is Not The Problem)'

The above-titled film was mentioned by a (Farsi) Iranian friend of mine. Does anyone happen to have seen it yet?

It's a very good film, I've seen it in one of the justin.tv documentary channels ( http://www.justin.tv/montydj1#/w/386925376/12 ).

It might be a bit too left-wing for many viewers who aren't familiar with 20th middle eastern history but IMHO it's spot on.

There are two main issues that most people are unfamiliar with, first the history and context which brought about the islamic revolution, dating back to Operation Ajax and the anglo-american ouster of Mossadegh's home-grown democracy (primarily to control their oil), second the nature of the current "threat", the idea that their regime would actually use nukes to attack Israel.

    The film is available here:

(PS Clive: "farsi" designates almost exclusively the language of Iran, while "iranian" designates the people of Iran, similarly to magyar/hungarian.)

      Thanks for the link, Linus.

Yeah, I was being lazy. I should have put 'Farsi-speaking', but just thought it a simpler, easier option to saying that she's Zoroastrian and used to refer to herself as 'Persian' - both of which might lead to some kind of misunderstandings here.
