Partly shameless self-promotion/generous sharing of unpaid labour, this thread, but: I done an article about the superb Polish director Wojciech Has and his mindblowing The Hourglass Sanatorium.

I'd be interested to know how many of you clever buggers have watched one of his films. He seems outrageously under-known considering how obviously talented he was.

He certainly remains outrageously unknown by me.

Good article, though, with the Quietus trademark superb photographs to accompany it.

Unless I have any other pressing business I'll give it a go at the Cornerhouse in December.

Thanks Tony. It would actually be difficult to hunt down a photograph from that film that didn't look amazing.
