Judge me by books I shouldn't read, and haven't

    The Da Vinci Code, maybe?

I've read it (mainly because my Mum had, and she wanted to talk about it to someone else). It was shite (my mum agreed). Compulsive shite, but shite nonetheless.

    The film's shite too.

I haven't read anything by Dan Brown but I saw the film. Unless the book differs from the film to the same degree that Catcher in the Rye differs from the 1973 Sears Christmas catalog, then I can say without much fear of contradiction that the book is also utter asswipe.

Oh man, if only the back cover said:

          Mein Kampf.

          Kane and Abel.

          That Piers Morgan book.

Haven't read any, and damned proud of it.

The only valid reason not to read any book whatsoever is that you haven't enough time to read it, given all the other books you ahve to read.

Anything by Ayn Rand, and pretty much everything mentioned above except High Fidelity.

Mortality being what it is, toro, I think it's safe to assume that no-one has time to read all the books. Hence, discernment.

I'm with Mme Borisovna. Managed about three chapters of DVC before dragging myself away.
