Hmm, the comments are taken from an interview with the Mail, who dislike lefty former single parent Rowling for obvious reasons. Trollope could either be an unwitting Dacre stooge, gulled into criticising her fellow author, or maybe even actively subscribes to the Mail's repulsive world view. Obviously The Guardian aren't exactly on the high ground, picking up the story and using it as an excuse to stick a big picture of Rowling on the cover.

We've just got to the end of two weeks of half price coupons for The Guardian. I'll be moderately surprised if the cover price doesn't go up on Monday.
