As I don't want to encroach on anyone else's territory, here's a separate thread, with my mate Patrice Lawrence's recommendations for BHM. Not just great selections, her potted reviews are as witty, insightful and on point as any of her writing.

One of Patrice's own books, Orangeboy, has just made Sadiq Khan's Top 10 recommended books for teenagers, and as I've probably said before, it's an enjoyable, moving, often funny read for adults, especially if you're a Londoner, but my friend in suburban Canada loved it too. I like the next book, Indigo Donut, even more.
